4 dead, 3 seriously injured in road accident

Krishnangar, Oct 3 (UNI) At least four people were killed and three seriously injured when a private vehicle collided with a stationary lorry at Rotwari crossing under Chakdha police station in Nadia district early this morning.

The accident occurred on National Highway 34 when the vehicle, travelling from Halishahar to Morapuri, collided with a stationary lorry, police said.

The injured have been admitted to the Jawaharlal Nehru Hospital at Kalyani and later shifted to the NRS Hospital at Kolkata where their condition was stated be critical, police added.
