Worker dies in factory mishap in Anand

Anand, Gujarat, Oct 2 (UNI) A worker died in a steel factory at Viththal Udhyog Nagar of Gujarat Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) estate, near here, today after a heavy iron plate accidently fell on him.

The worker, identified as Salubhai Govindbhai Harijan, met with the accident in Anupam Industries this afternoon, in which he sustained serious injuries. He was rushed to the civil hospital at Karamsad town, but he succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital, police sources said.

A case of accidental death has been registered, sources added.
