Wakf JPC to arrive on study tour tomorrow

Chandigarh, Oct 2 (UNI) The Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) on Wakfs will commence its four-day study tour of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and the Union territory of Chandigarh from tomorrow.

The Committee will arrive here tomorrow morning, a Punjab Government release today stated, and meet representatives of the Punjab Wakf Board and public representatives of the border state.

Similar meetings will be held with the Wakf Boards of Haryana (at Chandigarh) and Himachal Pradesh in Shimla.

The Committee will review the working of the state Wakf Boards.
