UN envoy leaves Myanmar after Suu Kyi meeting
YANGON, Oct 2 (Reuters) United Nations envoy Ibrahim Gambari flew out of army-ruled Myanmar today after meeting junta chief Than Shwe and a second session of talks with detained opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi.
Before flying out, Gambari returned briefly to the government guest house where he met the 62-year-old Nobel laureate on Saturday for another meeting with ''The Lady'', as she is known.
Gambari cancelled a last-minute briefing for Yangon-based diplomats at the end of a four-day visit meant to persuade the generals to end their crackdown on the biggest democracy protests in 20 years and to talk to Suu Kyi's political opposition.
