Three killed, 31 injured in road accident

Tiruchirapalli, Oct 2 (UNI) Three persons were killed and 31 injured, when a State Transport Corporation bus hit a stationary van at Nedungur village on the Tiruchirapalli-Chennai National Highway, near here, today.

Police said the bus, proceeding to Tiruchirapalli from Tirupati rammed into the van, when its driver was attending to a fault.

The deceased were identified as Senthil Kumar (27) from Thirumanthurai village, van driver Balasubramanian (27) and bus driver Saravanan.

The injured were admitted to the Government Headquarters Hospital here, police added.
