Pondy admn to construct walk-way in Arrikkanmedu

Puducherry, Oct 2 (UNI) The Puducherry administration is planning to construct a walk-way in the entire stretch of Arikkanmedu, the ancient archaeological site here at a cost of Rs 10 crore.

According to official sources here today, already a Rs 24 crore HUDCO project was being implemented to beautify the area and to strengthen the old structures at Arikkanmedu, The sources said all the tourism development schemes would be completed by November 25.

The Tourism Department had recruited 100 guards, who would be inducted on October 15, it added.
