Bangalore, Oct 2 (UNI) The Political Affairs Committee (PAC) of Janata Dal (Secular) will meet in New Delhi on October 5 to discuss the issue of transfer of power to BJP in Karnataka, Party Supremo H D Deve Gowda said today.

Speaking to newspersons at the party office here, he said the meeting would consider views of legislators and ministers on transfer of power and the decision would be binding on everyone in the party.

The meeting assumes significant in the light of an ultimatum given by the coalition partner BJP that Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy should resign the post and send a letter to the Governor, supporting the BJP leader taking over as the Chief Minister, on behalf of the Janata Dal(S) Legislature Party.

BJP leader, in-charge of party affairs in Karnataka, Yashwant Sinha had yesterday ruled out any further talks with JD(S). He said there was no alternative other than the JD(S) transferring power to BJP as scheduled on October three.

Mr Sinha was still in the city to hammer out a solution to end the impasse.

The JD(S) appeared to be bidding time as it was evident from the Chief Minister's remarks that such political decisions could not be taken in haste.

The JD(S) the BJP were expected to meet later in the day to chalk out future strategies. While the BJP ministers were contemplating submitting resignation en masse to pressurise the JD(S) leadership, the Chief Minister was expected to take a stand after eliciting views from his party Legislators.
