IUML Kerala vice-president dead

Kochi, Oct 2 (UNI) Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) Kerala vice-president Abdullah Haji Ahmed Sait died here today following a brief illness. He was 74.

He is survived by four daughters. The burial will take place at the Central Juma Masjid here tomorrow, party sources said.

The IUML leader, who was also a member of the state waqf board, had been admitted to the Indira Gandhi Cooperative Hospital here three weeks ago with some respiratory problems.

Minister of State for External Affairs and senior IUML leader E Ahamed condoled the veteran leader's demise.
