Watchman shot dead

Lucknow, Sep 30 (UNI) A watchman, who had sustained bullet wounds after being fatally attacked by masked gunmen in the posh Hazaratganj area of the Uttar Pradesh capital, succumbed today.

Ram Rekha (65) was fired upon indiscriminately by assailants on the Jopling road, police said today.

The critically wounded was rushed to the Civil Hospital, where he died.

A manhunt had been launched.
