International Day for the Elderly

New Delhi, Oct. 1, 2007: Thousands of Senior Citizens participated in a walkathon today in capital New Delhi to mark the International Day for Older People. Over 2000 senior citizens and school children took part in the event, which is organised every year.

The elderly donning white t-shirts teemed with white caps, walked to promote intergenerational bonding, bridging the gap between the old and the young.
