Dozens of Buddhists protest Myanmar junta

New Delhi, Sept 30, 2007 : Buddhist monks today held a sit-in against the violent crackdown of pro-democracy demonstrators in Myanmar.

Dozens of monks, chanted religious verses and held placards against the Myanmar's military rule in the capital.Demonstrators called for peace in Myanmar. The protesting monks also raised slogans against the Indian government for not intervening.
