Lalu Prasad hosts Iftar party, hails communal harmony

Patna, Oct 1 (UNI) Bihar Governor R S Gavai and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today underscored the importance for maintaining communal harmony, peace and brotherhood among different religious communities to take the nation towards further prosperity.

Participating in the Iftar party, hosted by Railway Minister Lalu Prasad and his wife Rabri Devi, to mark the auspicious month of Ramzan, the Governor and the Chief Minister greeted the people on the occasion.

The Railway Minister said peaceful coexistence of the people of various communities in India for long would inspire the people of the rest of the world and hoped the sense of brotherhood prevailing among all sections would continue to prevail all over to set an example to the posterity.

Among others Bihar Legislative Council Chairman Arun Kumar, Union Ministers Jayprakash Narayan Yadav, Akilesh Prasad Singh besides several Legislators of all parties also attended the party.
