J'khand HC directs govt to file affidavit over bridge construction

Ranchi, Oct 1 (UNI) Jharkhand High court today directed the State Government to file an affidavit within one week regarding action taken in connection with the pre-qualification of the contractor for construction of flyover over Namkom railway crossing and high level bridge over Swarnarekha river in state capital.

A division bench comprising Chief justice Muthuswamy Karpagvinayagam and justice Amreshwar Sahay passd the order while hearing a Public Interest litigation (PIL) filed by one Dhananjay Dubey.

The Union government through an affidavit filed in the court informed that about Rs 26.30 crores had been allocated for the construction of fly over.

Now it was upto the state government to start the process of tender and award work order to the contractor.
