JD(S) to decide on power transfer at Oct 4 meet
Bangalore, Oct 1 (UNI) The meeting of Karnataka Janata Dal (Secular) Executive involving leaders and grassroot level workers had been convened on October 4 at Palace Grounds here to decide on future course of action with regard to transfer of power to BJP.
Briefing newsmen here today, Party General Secretary Y S V Dutta said the JDLP meeting scheduled for the evening could not take place due to paucity of time as several Ministers and the Chief Minister were held up in the Cabinet Meeting.
Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy also had to rush to Doordarshan to attend a scheduled 'Phone-in' Programme, he added.
Mr Dutta said the the Political Affairs Committee (PAC) meeting convened by Party Secretary General Danish Ali had not yet fixed.
Asked whether the process would amount to delay in transfer of power as scheduled on October three, Mr Dutta said the meeting also a part of process.
A meeting of legislators and the Chief Minister would be held tomorrow in which Mr Kumaraswamy was expected to elicit the views of party legislators.
''The views expressed by party legislators will be presented before the party workers meeting on October four,'' he added.
