Gujjars Jail Bharo agitation tomorrow

Jaipur, Oct 1 (UNI) The Gujjars are launching their second phase of the scheduled tribe (ST) reservation agitation tomorrow, with a call for an indefinite 'Jail Bharo Andolan' in the state.

Home Minister Gulab Chand Kataria said 20 companies of the Rapid Action Force (RAF) were deployed in sensitive areas while the authorities were asked to set up temporary jails on demand to accomodate the 'arrested' Gujjars.

Mr Kataria said the government pins its hopes on the Gujjar leaders' promise that the agitation would be a peaceful affair while taking all precautions. The administration is also in touch with the army to face any eventuality.
