Chhota Shakeel's brother-in-law held

Mumbai, Sep 30 (UNI) Crime Branch sleuths of the Mumbai Police today arrested Arif Bhaijan, brother-in-law of underworld don Chhota Shakeel, under a Transfer Arrest Warrant from the Crime Branch of the Gujarat Police, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Maria said here today.

Bhaijan has been remanded to police custody till October 9, he said, adding, Bhaijan was in Ahmedabad Police's custody since the last four months.

Earlier, Bhaijan along with 10 others of the Chota Shakeel gang, associated allegedly with the underworld fugitive Dawood Ibrahim, were deported from United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the Attarwala case.

He was wanted in several cases of extortion, land grabbing and threats by the Mumbai Police.
