BJP demands Kumaraswamy resignation

Bangalore, Oct 01 (UNI) Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Vice President Yeshwanth Sinha, in charge of Karnataka, today demanded Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy to step down and pave way for BJP to form the government as per agreement reached while forming the Coalition government.

Ruling out talks on Transfer of Power issue with JD(S), Mr Sinha told newsmen said that "now time has come for JD(S) to redeem the pledge it made 20 months ago and handover Chief Minister post to B S Yediyurappa." Recalling the agreement reached between his party and JD(S), he said that "there is no question of negotiation on the issue of transfer of power, the agreement should be implemented in toto".
