Woman dies after falling overboard from liner

LONDON, Sep 30 (Reuters) A woman has died after falling overboard from a cruise liner just before it docked at the port of Southampton, British police said today.

The 67-year-old woman was reported missing from the Oceana liner by her husband early this morning and soon afterwards her body was recovered from the Solent by a Maritime and Coastguard Agency.

''The body of a female has been recovered and she is dead. That person has not yet been formally identified and inquiries are ongoing.'' The Oceana was returning to Southampton following a two-day cruise to Zeebrugge in Belgium said a P&O Cruises spokeswoman.
