UN envoy expects to meet Myanmar junta chief

YANGON, Sep 30 (Reuters) United Nations special envoy Ibrahim Gambari expects to meet Myanmar junta supremo Senior General Than Shwe before he leaves the military-ruled country, the UN said in a statement today.

''He looks forward to meeting Senior General Than Shwe, Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council, before the conclusion of his mission,'' it said.
