Two HM militants killed in central Kashmir

Srinagar, Sep 30: Security forces killed two Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) militants in night-long encounter in the central Kashmir district of Badgam, a police spokesman said today.

He said CRPF and Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a joint operation at village Tujan in Badgam district last night following a tip off that some militants were hiding there.

As the security forces were sealing the area, militants opened fire and took shelter in a house.

Security Forces cordoned the area and in the night-long operation both the militants were killed. Two Ak rifles and other arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain militants.
