Retired Judge threatened

Bhopal, Sep 30 (UNI) An advocate has been arrested on the charge of threatening a retired High Court Judge, police said today.

Acting on the complaint of retired Judge S K Chawla that advocate Siddharth Gupta had threatened him over telephone last night, police arrested him.

Judge Chawla is a member of a committee investigating into alleged irregularities in the Bhoj Mukt University, Bhopal.

The advocate telephoned Judge Chawla last night and alleged that he was favouring Vice-Chancellor Kamlakar Singh. He threatened him with dire consequences.

He was later released on bail.
