Country's progress depends on infrastructural development: Lalu

Chapra(Bihar), Sep 30 (UNI) Union Railway Minister and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad today maintained that progress of a country depends on the development of infrastructure.

Addressing a public meeting after inaugurating different rail projects at Chapra railway station here, Mr Prasad said infrastructural development in the sectors like road, rail and electricity was essential and the UPA government was according special attention on it. He said new rail lines were being constructed from Delhi to Howarah for smooth running of goods trains and four lane roads were also under construction.

Mr Prasad reiterated that the railways made a profit of Rs 20,000 crore during the last fiscal and hoped it would attain new heights in the coming days.
