Itanagar, Sep 29 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh government spokesman Tako Dabi today scoffed at mudslinging and politicisation of development, saying it would hamper socio-economic growth of the state.

Reacting to misinformation given by certain sections of media that almost all hydropower projects were signed by the Dorjee Khandu government in five months, flouting all norms, that too without Cabinet's nod, Mr Dabi clarified that such misgivings were unfortunate.

Of the total 39 projects (capacities 24,471 MW), 16 (3,911 MW) had so far been signed by the present government, while the Gegong Apang government had signed 22 projects (19,960 MW) and the 600 MW Kameng project was inked by the Mukut Mithi government, Mr Dabi said.

With a vision beyond the 21st century, the Chief Minister had been working to take the state and its people towards the desired destination where they would be in a position to compete with Europeans and South East Asians, he said and called upon the all sections to refrain from such unfounded criticism and appreciate good deeds.
