Former Pak Judge to challenge Musharraf

Islamabad, Sep 28, 2007: Wajihuddin Ahmed, a former Supreme Court judge, filed presidential nomination papers with the view to challenging Pervez Musharraf in upcoming presidential elections on Thursday.

Ahmed refused to swear allegiance to Musharraf after his 1999 coup. His lawyer supporters chanted "go Musharraf, go" as he entered the Election Commission. Musharraf also filed nomination papers on Thursday to run for re-election on Oct. 6.
