PDK holds mock funeral procession

Puducherry, Sep 28 (UNI) The Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam today took out a mock funeral procession to condemn communal forces opposing Tamils and Tamil Nadu.

The procession reached the Periyar Statue where they attempted to set fire to the 'corpse.' However,police prevented them resulting in an altercation and leading to the arrest of over 200 volunteers.

Meanwhile, the Hindu Munnani here today organised street corner meetings to condemn DMK President and Tami Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi for his critical remarks on Lord Ram which hurt the senitments of the Hindus.
