Delegation from Turkey in town

Mumbai, Sep 28 (UNI) '' Turkey like India is taking its rightful place economically and politically', said Halil Akinci, Turkish Ambassador, who lead a high powered delegation inviting Indian business houses to invest in Turkey, at a conclave organized by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) here.

Addressing captains of the Indian industries last evening, Akinci pointed out the opportunities in Turkey and invited investments in various sectors including power, IT, construction, pharmaceuticals and jewellery.

He also offered incentives like zero per cent income tax, free land, low costs, and an educated work force.

Turkey with a population of 72 million has the 17th largest economy in the world growing at more than 6 per cent for the last five years and is a gateway to both EU and Asian markets.
