CPM activists attacked

Malappuram, Kerala, Sep 28 (UNI) Four sympathisers of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) were injured, one of them seriously, in an alleged attack by their political rivals at Paravanna Velapurm in this district today.

Police said Khazim (48), Mohammed Ali (45), Sulaiman (30) and Bilal (15) were coming out of Velapurm Juma Masjid after Friday prayers in the afternoon when they were waylaid and attacked by the assilants with lethal weapons.

The injured were admitted to Kozhikode Medical College and the nearby hospitals, they said.
