10 MT volunteers arrested

Pudukottai, Sep 28 (UNI) Ten volunteers of Makkal Thamilzagam (MT) were arrested for staging black flag demonstration against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi here.

Police said the volunteers were arrested when they raised slogans and waived black flags at the Chief Minister, during his visit.

The volunteers staged the demonstration to draw Mr Karunanidhi's attention to their long pending demands, which included withdrawal of the Government Order (GO) that classified all the Scheduled Castes as "Adidravidas".
