ULFA criticise Army statement

Guwahati, Sep 27 (UNI) The United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) today criticised the "tough" stand, announced by the Army yesterday.

Reacting to the statement of Army GOC in C of 4 Corps B S Jaswal, the ULFA statement today said, '' Provoking statement will only complicate the whole situation. '' Regarding the ceasefire, the ULFA said it was a ''ploy'' of the state machinery and ULFA was never in favour of that and rather it was seeking a political situation.

The ULFA's statement came barely a day after General Jaswal addressed a media conference where he advised the parents and relatives of the ULFA militants to surrender or ''get dead bodies'' of them.
