Sugar prices slip again on thin bulk consumers demand
Navi Mumbai, Sep 27 (UNI) Sugar prices today drifted further lower by Rs ten per quintal on lack of fresh bulk consumers demand in face of larger stock arrivals from mills, traders at the wholesale sugar market said.
Small and medium grades (per quintal) slipped again by Rs ten each on increase in offers by stockists in view of weak advice from upcountry co-operative mills.
Similarly, ex-mill small and medium grades (per quintal) also crashed by Rs 25 and Rs 10 respectively on poor buying support from dealers.
Following are the spot wholesale rates per quintal: Small grade: Rs 1,336/1,391, Medium grade: Rs 1,376/1,485.
Ex-mill small grade: Rs 1,292/1,342, Medium grade: Rs 1,340/1425.
