SGPC clears confusion over Gurpurab

Fatehgarh Sahib, Sep 27 (UNI) Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has cleared confusion over the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev and martyrdom of Guru Teg Bahadur which were falling on the same day on November 24, 2007 according to Nanakshahi calendar.

According to SGPC officials, a meeting was convened at Akal Takht in which members of decision committee of Nanakshahi calendar, representatives of SGPC and Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee recommended that the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev will be observed on November 24, 2007 while martyrdom of Guru Teg Bahadur will now be observed on December 10, 2007.
