Journalists killed in Yangon
Bangkok, Sep 27 (UNI) Two foreigners were shot dead when Myanmar security forces fired during continuing mass street protests in Yangon today where thousands of people have been rallying against the military regime for the past weeks.
A Japanese photo journalist and a West European national were shot dead, reports from Yangon said today.
Buddhist monks who spearheaded the popular anti-government demonstrations till yesterday today stayed away after a military crackdown. An estimated 10,000 people poured out on the streets of the former Myanmar capital today.
