Inquiry into Ram Setu affidavit will take time: Soni

New Delhi, Sep 27: Tourism and Culture Minister Ambika Soni today said it would take some time for the completion of the ongoing administrative inquiry into the Ram Sethu affidavit fiasco. 'We don't want to be in haste,'' said Ms Soni, who was in the thick of the controversy over the counter-affidavit filed before the Supreme Court by the Archaeological Survey of India questioning the existence of Lord Rama or Ram Sethu.

Ms Soni was speaking on the fringes of a function to mark ' World Tourism Day'.

She said all concerned would have to be given an opportunity to put forward their version with regard to how such a mistake crept into the affidavit, which had since been withdrawn by the government in context of the controversy.
