Godrej Security Equipment to focus on security solutions

New Delhi, Sept 27 (UNI) Godrej&Boyce Mfg Co's security equipment division today said it will focus on providing its customers comprehensive security solutions rather than security products.

''We will move from product to solution and bring paradigm shift in the market,''company's Vice-President and Business Head Dara Byramjee told reporters here while showcasing a range of physical, elctronic, and premises security products.

''Offering a comprehensive security solutions is a more practical approach. We see a lot of this area and look forward to tapping this vast potential in the industry,'' Mr Byramjee said.

Godrej&Boyce's Security Equipment Division (SED), which is a pioneer in the security solutions space, has segments like Premises Security, Electronic security and Physical Security.

Godrej SED last year entered into strategic alliances with various global majors such as Tescon, Notifier, Adams, Fiscan, Panasonic and Advance Perimeter Systems, to introduce latest premises and electronic security systems such as road blockers, tyre killers, and crash rated barriers, explosive and narcotic detectors, and baggage systems.

The Rs 300 crore company is eyeing an Y-o-Y growth of 40 per cent in FY 2007-08 from present 25 per cent.

The company is the largest manufacturer of security equipment in India with over 75 per cent market share (in the physical security equipment market).

The Godrej security equipment is the leading supplier of security equipment to the banking industry, corporate and public institutions. Its customers includes the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), State Bank of India (SBI) and many multinational companies.

Besides the Indian market, the company also exports its products to over 35 countries, including East Asia, the US, Europe and Australia.
