Doctors boycott GH in Pondy

Puducherry, Sep 27 (UNI) Functioning of the Government Hospital here was affected for about an hour today as doctors boycotted duty in protest against the CPI leaders who allegedly abused them while observing a fast.

It may be noted that the CPI had organised a fast in front of the GH yesterday, demanding action against Nephrologist Murugesan in connection with the death of a kidney patient at the GH recently.

The doctors later called on the Lt Governor and submitted a memorandum, seeking his intervention to put an end to the CPI's verbal abuse.
