Chandigarh, Sep 27 (UNI) Punjab and Haryana High Court adjourned to October 5, the hearing on the prayer of Shaminder Kaur, a female inmate at Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda for impleading her as a party to the habeas corpus petition filed by her mother Sukhjit Kaur to produce her in the court which had earlier prompted it early this week to dispatch a warrant officer to the Dera.

When the warrant officer went to the Dera with the police, Kaur could not be found there, though the report in this regard was yet to be submitted to the bench.

Justice Nawab Singh has taken on record, an affidavit filed by Shaminder Kaur, saying she was not in the Dera on that day and was with one of her aunts.

She has also accused her maternal uncle, who was a driver of Dera Sacha Sauda head Sant Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, of turning against the Dera head due to the influence of the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal leadership in Punjab for some consideration.
