Contractor shot at

Ballia, Sep 27 (UNI) Unidentified armed miscreants shot at and critically wounded a contractor in Sadar Kotwali area of this district.

Vinod Kumar Singh suffered bullet wounds in the firing done by the miscreants near PWD office yesterday. He had been admitted to hospital, police said.

Three of the accused were nabbed by the alert locals.

Old enmity is said to be the reason behind the crime.
