Agumbe records 12 cm rain

Bnagalore, Sep 27 (UNI) Following is a summary of observations recorded by the Weather Office here at 083-hrs today.

Monsoon was weak over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Rainfall occurred at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka.

Agumbe recorded heavy rainfall of 12 cm.

Other chief rainfall amounts (cm): Udupi, Chikballapur, Thondebhavi 2 each, Panambur, Hosanagar, Sringeri, Koppa, Srirampura 1 each.

Forecast valid until Saturday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over Coastal Karnataka&South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Kodagu, Chikmagalur, Shimoga, Hassan districts and at isolated places over remaining districts of the Interior Karnataka.

Local forecast: Generally cloudy with a spell of Rain/ thundershowers.
