UN Security Council to meet on Myanmar
UNITED NATIONS, Sep 26 (Reuters) The UN Security Council will meet at 3 pm local time, 2430 hrs IST today to consult on the situation in Myanmar, a UN spokeswoman said.
The UN special envoy for Myanmar, Ibrahim Gambari, will brief the council on the confrontation between the Asian state's military rulers and Buddhist monks and other pro-democracy demonstrators, spokeswoman Marie Okabe said.
