Panama arrests six Syrians on flight from Cuba

PANAMA CITY, Sep 25 (Reuters) Panamanian police arrested six Syrians who they suspect tried to force their way into the cockpit of a Copa Airlines plane flying from Cuba to Panama today, police said.

The six were detained at Panama City's airport after the flight landed, a police spokesman told RPC radio station.

''None of these people committed a violent act against the crew or passengers but they behaved suspiciously and tried to approach the cabin,'' the spokesman said. ''There are six people of Syrian nationality under arrest,'' he said.
