Monsoon active over kerala
Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 26 (UNI) The South West Monsoon was active over Kerala, with rains lashing most places in the State and at a few places in Lakshadweep.
The Local Met office said the maximum rainfall of six cm was recorded at Alwaye. This was followed by Chalakudi five cm, Kochi Airport, Kozhikode, Karipur Air port and Manjeri four cm, Amenidweep, CIAL Kochi, Kannur and Kasargode three cm.
It said rains would occur at many places in Kerala and a few places in lakshadweep during the next 48 hours. Strong onshore winds from the Westerly direction, with speed occasionally reaching 45-55 kmph, were likely along the Kerala coast and over Lakshadweep.
