LJP prepared for mid term poll: Paswan

Patna, Sep 26 (UNI) Lok Janshakti Party(LJP) president and Union Chemicals and Fertiliser Minister Ramvilas Paswan today affirmed that his party was prepared for the mid-term poll.

''Although, our party is ready to face the poll, I personally favour for evolution of a system to ensure the completion of five -year term of the Lok Sabha,'' Mr Paswan told newspersons here.

To avoid mid-term poll, the party wishing to move no- confidence motion against the Prime Minister would also be required to bring confidence motion in favour of another leader in the House, he said.

He also elaborated that the confidence motion in favour of Mr Atal Bihari Vajpayee or someone else should be brought in the House if any political party moved no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister.

Mr Paswan lambasted the Nitish Kumar government for the ''deteriorating'' law and order situation, saying the present government was not better than the previous Lalu-Rabri government.

The Minister said his party would convene a ''Chetavni'' rally against the Nitish Kumar government in Patna on November 28 and also to show the party's strength.

He said the organisational election would be completed by December 15 and more than 15 lakh people had so far accepted the primary membership of the LJP in Bihar.

To a query, Mr Paswan reiterated his commitment for reopening the closed factories of Barauni and Sindiri.

He further said the UPA was united on the issue of Nuclear deal with the US to meet the requirement of power.
