Journalists sent to judicial custody

Ujjain, MP, Sep 26 (UNI) A local court today sent three alleged journalists, who were arrested on the charge of carrying out a loot with the help of a prostitute, to judicial custody up to October 10.

Six journalists had looted Rs 43,000, gold chain and mobile phone besides other items from Rajasthan's Jhalawad-based farmer Gheesu Singh Panwar by pretending to be crime branch officer with the help of Indore-based prostitute Mona Khan early this month.

Judicial Magistrate Vishnu Kumar Soni sent Sachin Goyal, Anil Tiwari and Munna Singh Kushwah to judicial custody in central Bhairavgarh jail up to October 10. Two accused are related to a news channel.

Earlier, three accused had been sent on six days' police custody.

An evening daily's editor, Abhay Tirwar, press photographer Dinesh and one other accused were absconding.

Mona was arrested in Indore recently. She has been lodged in central Bhairavgarh jail.
