HC dismisses ex-SP MLA's petition

Allahabad, Sep 26 (UNI) The Allahabad High Court has dismissed a writ petition of former Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA Vijama Yadav, challenging an FIR lodged against her.

MLA from Jhoonsi assembly seat, Ms Yadav was booked at the Tharwai police station under sections 419, 420, 467 and 471 of IPC for taking advantage of her position and getting executed a sale deed in her favour, which belonged to informant Banawari Lal.

A bench comprising Justices Imtiyaz Murtaza and K N Ojha dismissed the petition and observed that the FIR disclosed cognizable offence.
