Firing at Congress MP vehicle

New Delhi, Sep 26 (UNI) Unknown assailants fired at the vehicle of Congress Member of Parliament, Krishna Tirath late this evening.

The firing took place, when she was on her way to meet somebody, said Delhi Police spokesman Rajendra Bhagat.

"An FIR to this effect has been registered at the Mandir Marg police station," he said.

However, it was not yet confirmed how many rounds were fired at the MP's car nor have the attackers been identified, he added.

Investigations were underway and efforts were on to nab the culprits, said the police.

Krishna Tirath is Congress Member of Parliament from Karol Bagh in central district of the city.
