Dalit beaten, dragged by tractor

Morena, MP, Sep 26 (UNI) A dalit was allegedly tied to a tractor and dragged by influential people in this district, police said today.

Madoorabada village-resident Lal Singh Jatav was beaten, tied to a tractor and dragged by Ballu and Kadam Singh when Jatav refused to go along with them in tractor on account of illness on September 23.

Jatav was injured and admitted to hospital in Jaura.

A case was registered against the two accused on the basis of a complaint lodged by Jatav.

On the other hand, Ballu and Kadam Singh lodged a police complaint that they had gone to Jatav's house for some work when Jatav beat them up and threatened them. Police have registered cases from both sides.
