Call rates open at 6.00 per cent

Mumbai, Sep 26 (UNI) Call rates opened firm at 6.00 per cent at the overnight Inter-bank Call money market as compared to the previous close of 6.00-6.10 per cent.

Reserve Bank had yesterday come up with more liberalized norms for fund outflows.

At the reverse repo window, Reserve Bank today accepted all the 18 bids received worth Rs 227.65 billion.

Yesterday, RBI had sold securities worth Rs 261.8 billion in order to suck out the excess cash in the system.

Call rates were reported at 6.00 per cent at 1215 hrs, dealers said.
