Budding engineers demonstrate at IT-BHU

Varanasi, Sep 26 (UNI) Students of Banaras Hindu University (IT-BHU) here today took to streets, demanding students, who failed to clear supplementary examinations of first and second semester, be given another opportunity to clear their exams as a special case.

Over 500 B Tech students barged the administrative office of IT-BHU and demanded the institute director to conduct a of special examination for 28 students, who failed to clear some papers of first and second semester in the supplementary examinations.

While some of the 28 students had failed to clear a few papers of either of the two semesters in the supplementary exams, a few others faltered in papers of both first and second semester, a senior official of BHU Proctorial Board told UNI.

The students were convinced by Institute Director S N Upadhyaya, who assured them to take up the matter with the top officials of the university, including, Rector Srikant Lele and Vice-Chancellor Panjab Singh.
