Ambikapur bandh complete

Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, Sep 26 (UNI) The day-long bandh called by the Congress in Sarguja district's Ambikapur headquarters today to protest against deteriorating law and order situation had a widespread effect.

The bandh was called to protest spurt in incidents of dacoities and theft in the town in the past few months.

Business and commercial activities were affected and the main market remained closed, as the bandh was supported by business associations and other organisations.

A public meeting has been also called by the Congress in the evening regarding the bandh. Later, a memorandum would be handed over to the district administration demanding improvement in law and order situation.
