4 Maoists killed in encounter

Visakhapatnam, Sep 26 (UNI) Four Maoists, including three women, were killed in an encounter in G Madugula forest area in the district today.

Talking to newspersons here, Superintendent of Police (Rural) A Sabharwal said the encounter took place during a combing operation at Chintapalli-Lambsingi forest range in Chintapalli agency area.

The bodies were found at the encounter site, one of which was suspected to be of the Dalam Commander, police sources said.

Police found three heavy landmines, two 303 rifles, one double barrel gun and five kit bags from the spot.

Combing operations were continuing, the sources added.
